This is the Zero Hour privacy policy. It is intentionally short because Zero Hour intentionally collects very little. If you find any of this misleading, contradicted by our actual behaviour, or just unclear, email privacy@zerohourbid.com and we will fix it.
What Zero Hour does not collect
- Your eBay username.
- Your eBay password. We have no field for one anywhere.
- Any cookies, session tokens, or authentication data from eBay. These are read at bid time and immediately discarded; never persisted.
- The items you snipe. Your snipes live in chrome.storage.local on your own machine.
- Your name, email address (unless you contact support directly), phone number, postal address, IP address, browser fingerprint, or device identifier.
- Any browsing data. Zero Hour does not have access to your browsing history.
- Telemetry, analytics, or usage events. The extension makes no calls to any analytics platform.
What Zero Hour does collect
Install ID
A random UUIDv4 generated on first install, stored in chrome.storage.sync. Survives Chrome reinstalls if Chrome Sync is enabled. This ID is the only thing transmitted to Zero Hour's servers, used purely to determine whether the install is on a Free or Pro plan.
Payment information (if you pay)
If you purchase Pro Monthly or Pro Lifetime, Stripe, our payment processor, collects the payment information necessary to charge your card. Zero Hour does not see, store, or process card numbers. Stripe does. We store the link between your install ID and your Stripe customer ID, plus your plan status and expiry date. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all card-data handling.
Support correspondence (if you email us)
If you email support@zerohourbid.com, we have your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you and to identify recurring issues. We don't share it with anyone.

Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The minimal data we have isn't useful to a third party in the first place. It's an opaque UUID and a plan status. Stripe holds payment data under its own privacy commitments; we don't share data with them beyond what's needed for the subscription.
Marketing site analytics
The marketing site (zerohourbid.com) uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregated. No personal identifier is collected, no cookies are set, and no cross-site tracking happens. Aggregated stats include page views and referrers. Nothing else.
Crawlers and AI
We allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, and other major AI bots to read the marketing site (see robots.txt). We make no commitments on behalf of those services about what they do with the content. Zero Hour itself does not embed any LLM or AI service.
Your rights
Because we collect so little, the standard data-rights flows (deletion, portability, access) are simple:
- Access: email us with your install ID. We'll return everything we have, which is your plan status and Stripe customer ID.
- Deletion: uninstalling the extension wipes all local data. To delete your entitlement record from our database, email
privacy@zerohourbid.com. We'll remove it within 7 days. - Portability: there's nothing to port. Your snipes are already on your machine in a readable JSON structure under chrome.storage.local.
Children
Zero Hour is not directed at children under 13. eBay's own terms of service require users to be of legal age in their jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll publish the change here and update the "last updated" date at the top. We don't have your email so there's no way for us to notify individually. But the policy is short enough to re-read.
